Meet our Candidates!
In accordance with the bylaws of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, the following candidates have been nominated for election to the Board of Directors.
The five (5) candidates receiving the most votes will be declared elected for a two year term starting June 2021.

Matt was born in Brandon and raised in a small rural town just 20 kilometers North. Working as a landscape labourer in Highschool, Matt developed a love for the outdoors and the creative freedoms that landscaping offered. He purchased Livingstone Landscaping in 1999 as the sole employee to pay his way through university.
Matt graduated with a degree in Business from Brandon University, focusing on Finance and minor in Economics. He completed the Prairie Horticulture certification program by Distance Ed from Olds College, Red River College, University of Winnipeg, and ACC. Matt also taught Landscape Design at our local Assiniboine Community College to pass on industry knowledge to those interested in landscape design.
In 2020, Matt was one of the founding partners of their sister company Livingstone Outdoor, a landscaping retail supply store and greenhouse set to open in spring 2021. Today, the two companies employ ninety-five staff members and operate interprovincially in MB & SK.
Emelio Brown is a young entrepreneur who was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. He immigrated to Brandon in 2014 to attend Brandon University where he studied and completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. In 2015 Emelio joined Myphone |TELUS Authorized Dealer (which was an MTS dealership at the time) where he is now a Business Account Executive.
After graduating from Brandon University in 2017 he began his entrepreneurial journey and decided to start his own business (IntriTech Digital Marketing) due to the lack of jobs within his field of study and a growing local need for services within the digital marketing industry. Emelio’s transition from Jamaica to Canada came with a few obstacles, which inspired him to start a non-profit organization aimed at helping other newcomers settle (Westman Jamaican Community Inc.). He is an active community member and is happy to call Brandon his home
Laurie has been a Sales Associate with Century 21 Westman Realty Ltd. since 1996. She became a partner of the company in 2002 and more recently obtained her Brokers Licence and is now Managing Partner for Century 21 Westman Realty. Laurie is proud of the team that her and the partners have built and continue to build in the Brandon and area community.
Being very goal orientated, she works hard at accomplishing the tasks that are set in front of her. She has steadily grown her own business over the years working with an expertise in residential, new construction, condominiums, vacant land, revenue properties, and acreage sales. Laurie is married to Kevin and they have 3 daughters and a family pet. In their spare time they like to travel or spend time at the lake and enjoying their kids’ activities.
Anna Dumas is the Office Manager at W.L. Buck & Associates. Her days consist of everything from accounting, payroll, client satisfaction to hyping up the office for a fun day. Anna has been a passionate Brandonite for 10 years being involved in the community as much as she can. Since becoming apart of Brandon’s business community she has been an advocate for small locally owned businesses, boards and charities. She is currently Vice-Chair on the board for Brandon first and sits on multiple committees including 100 women who care, lip sync battle, and the summer of diamonds event committee. She was the recipient of the Leadership in Business award in 2018 from the YWCA and tourism Manitoba’s service excellence award in 2019.
Samantha Falloon is the Managing Partner with Myphone.ca. Myphone is a telecommunication company which operates 3 TELUS locations in Brandon and Virden as well an IT Division called Juggernaut Computers.
Samantha graduated with her B.Comm from University of Manitoba in 2009 before moving home to join the family business. She worked through a variety of roles in the organization and now focuses on the TELUS operations.
Committed to her community, Samantha has enjoyed being involved with a variety of organizations including the YWCA, MS Society, Heart & Stroke and sitting on the Board of Directors with the United Way of Brandon & District.
Wife to Tim and mother to Stella and Ava, Samantha is passionate about her community and loves raising her family in her home town of Brandon.
Tilda Fortier is the Business Manager for Greenstone Building Products, a family-owned building technology company founded in 2015. Greenstone was honored to receive the Brandon Chamber’s Outstanding New Business award in 2020.
Tilda graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2008 and also works in administration, strategic growth and development for Excel-7 Ltd. her families Brandon-based commercial general contracting company. Tilda shares her responsibilities with a talented, dedicated and diverse team of co-workers. She feels lucky to be able to call some of them her parents, siblings and husband.
Tilda currently serves as a board member for the Brandon University Foundation, Beginnings Preschool and New Era PAC. She is married to Chris and they have a nine year old and 5 year old twin daughters to keep their evenings and weekends full of adventure.
Meredyth is a proud fourth-generation member of Leech Printing Ltd. With a background in interior design, Meredyth began her professional career as Design Assistant to Jillian Harris in Vancouver, BC, before moving back to Brandon to work for J & G Homes. In 2014, Meredyth joined the family business as a Sales and Marketing Consultant and is currently the Director of Sales & Marketing.
Having been involved in various Chamber committees and events over the years – now more than ever, Meredyth feels her role in the Chamber in terms of advocacy and leadership is important and recognizes the value of a well-represented Chamber for our local business community.
Meredyth is wife to Brock and mother to their 3-year old daughter Wallis and 1-year old son Rhodes.
Jennifer Ludwig was born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba and graduated from the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Pharmacy in 2005. She is an owner and pharmacist at Super Thrifty Pharmacy (Richmond) and also a partner and board member of Super Thrifty Drugs Canada Ltd, operating 15 stores across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.
Jennifer is very active in the pharmacy profession, having been a member of the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM) Council for eight years and acting as Executive Treasurer, President, and Past President. She also maintains positions on various committees involved in promoting patient safety and governance within the pharmacy profession.
Her love for her community has also seen her volunteer with the Westman Dreams for Kids Advisory Committee and Assiniboine Community College Foundation Board.
She is married to her husband Jordan, and together they enjoy spending time with their
two canine fur babies, Bogey Maverick and Lou Bixby.

Kelly grew up on a grain farm at Elm Creek, MB and received a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba. He and his wife, Karen, are raising their two teenagers in Brandon.
Kelly has been with Koch Fertilizer and previously Simplot for 24 years and during that time he has held many commercial roles including international assignments that took him and his family to work as General Manager for Koch Fertilizer Australia and in the U.S.A. as Global Potash Leader. He has been the Managing Director of Koch Fertilizer Canada since 2016.
Kelly enjoys being part of a team working towards common goals and would like to be part of the Chamber Board to help create more opportunities for the Brandon business community. He has a passion for serving the world’s farmers to grow food for an ever-increasing population while utilizing resources as efficiently as possible.
Jason grew up in SW Manitoba and has called Brandon his home for the past 20 years. He graduated from Brandon University with a BSc. and has worked in the Agricultural industry for over 20 years. In his current role of Territory Manager for Corteva Agriscience, he is responsible for all aspects of the business (forecasting, sales budgeting, revenue, and expense management) in SW Manitoba and looks after retail and grower accounts. Jason has experience in Sales Management, Negotiation Skills, Data Analysis and is a trainer for Consultative Selling Skills.
He has volunteered for many organizations over the past several years and currently sits as a member of the Board of Revision for the City of Brandon as well as Chairman of the Board of Trinity United Church. his experience in the current boards he serves, as well as his current tenure with Corteva Agriscience, will serve the chamber members and current members of the board very well.
Jason is a husband to Sherri and father to Curtis and Meghan.
