Meet our Candidates!
In accordance with the bylaws of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, the following candidates have been nominated for election to the Board of Directors.
The six (6) candidates receiving the most votes will be declared elected for a two year term starting June 2022.
Courtney was raised in Brandon Manitoba before venturing to Winnipeg to complete her post-secondary education, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Winnipeg (U of W) with a focus in Marketing. In addition to her degree at the U of W, Courtney furthered her knowledge in the field by taking courses at the University of Manitoba’s Asper School of Business. Courtney has additionally completed training in project management through the Canadian Marketing Association and has obtained certifications in various aspects of digital advertising.
Presently, Courtney is the Manager of Marketing and Community Programming at Westman Communications Group (WCG), leading an in-house marketing team and the strategic direction in all corporate branding, communications, public relations, digital strategy, and product marketing for WCG and each of its subsidiaries—Westman Business Solutions, 94.7 Star FM, Q Country 91.5 FM, and WCGtv. Her experience in the Communications/Broadcast industry with a locally based organization has provided her with a broader understanding of the communities they serve as well as communication and marketing growth strategy for local businesses.
With a passion for community, Courtney has additionally worked with local organizations such as YWCA Brandon, Brandon School of Dance, The Brandon Dance Ensemble (Board member/Artistic Director), Brandon Chamber of Commerce (events committee member), and Matt Calvert Charity Shootout (committee member) to name a few.
Emelio is a young entrepreneur who was born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. He immigrated to Brandon in 2014 to attend Brandon University where he studied and completed his Bachelor of Computer Science degree. After graduating in 2017, he began his entrepreneurial journey and decided to start his own business (IntriTech Digital Marketing) due to the lack of jobs within his field of study and a growing local need for digital marketing services.
Today, Emelio is the CEO of IntriTech Digital Marketing and the recently acquired Juggernaut Computers. With both brands combined, customers can acquire all growth and technology services under one roof.
In addition to his success as an entrepreneur, he is also on the board of directors at the Rural Manitoba Economic Development Corporation. Through this medium, he is able to play his part in the growth of the local economy. With his overall experience in business technology, Emelio is a great candidate for the Brandon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
With over 20 years in the sales & marketing industry, I thrive on ensuring my clients receive excellent personalized service. My role at Royal LePage/Martin-Liberty Realty changed in 2018 to Office Manager/Partner & Sales Associate. I am proud to represent our brokerage in many different aspects of our day-to-day operations. A lifelong resident of Brandon, I am married to my husband Dale Coulter & we have one son Tyler Coulter. We enjoy travelling in the winter & you’ll likely find me on the golf course enjoying the Manitoba summers!
I grew up in Carberry, Manitoba, and moved to Brandon in 1994. I attended both ACC and Brandon University before attending U of M to study Law. I received my Call to the Bar in 2009 and have practiced in both Brandon and Carberry since then. I opened my firm, Epp Law Office, in late 2020 where we practice in the areas of Real Estate, Corporate, Estate and Municipal law. I enjoy volunteering and being involved in the community in a number of areas. I currently sit on a number of boards in our community and have sat on the Chamber Board of Directors since 2020. Being on the Brandon Chamber Board of Directors is important to me because it allows me to give back to our business community in a meaningful way. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, bonfires, and puttering in the garage. I hope that you will elect me to serve the Brandon Chamber of Commerce for another term!
Samantha Falloon is the Managing Partner with Myphone.ca. Myphone is a TELUS & KOODO Authorized dealer which operates 3 TELUS locations in Brandon and Virden.
Samantha graduated with her B. Comm from University of Manitoba in 2009 before moving home to join the family business. She worked through a variety of roles in the organization and now focuses on the TELUS operations.
Committed to her community, Samantha has enjoyed being involved with a variety of organizations including the YWCA, MS Society, Heart & Stroke and sitting on the Board of Directors with the United Way of Brandon & District.
Wife to Tim and mother to Stella and Ava, Samantha is passionate about her community and loves raising her family in her hometown of Brandon.
Chris was born and raised in Brandon, attending Brandon University and graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2004. Chris joined Mazergroup in 2005, which operates 18 agriculture dealerships in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. As the V.P. of Parts, Service, and Precision, he is responsible for the operational and strategic direction of those departments. Having not grown up on a farm, he is grateful that his career has found him working in the agriculture industry.
Chris has been on the Brandon Chamber board and has chaired the workforce alignment committee for the past 2 years. Through this committee work, he has also joined the IANE Westman board in support of indigenous employment. He is also a member of the governance committee and has been an active participant at chamber events and functions.
Chris has been married to his wife Diane for 13 years. Diane is also a Chamber member, and owner of a small business in Brandon. They are proud parents to their sons Maxwell and Otis.
As co-owner and Lead Brand Strategist of PBC Multi Media, I’ve worked for more than two decades in winning leads for local businesses, and have recently helped grow our organization to take its place as Manitoba’s 25 Year Leader in Search.

Rich was born in Winnipeg but moved to Brandon at a very young age. He is a graduate of Assiniboine Community College where both of his parents were employed until their retirement. Rich began working at the age of 14 in a restaurant where he stayed until he joined the automotive industry at the age of 20. He has enjoyed working in the “people” business since his first job. Rich is also a recent graduate of the National Auto Dealer Academy in McLean Virginia.
Rich joined Doug Murray as his partner at Murray Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC in 2020, after a successful career as a Sales Person, Sales Manager and now Executive Manager at the dealership. His most important job is to make sure that every customer that does business at the dealership is Completely Satisfied. The customer is always put first, and then then staff and then everything else. The strong team at Murray Chevrolet, working alongside the leadership team, recently became the top volume dealership in the province.
In his down time, Rich enjoys spending time at their cottage at Lake of the woods with his wife Jacquie and three kids. He can also be found in the early morning hours at Rocked Community Fitness.
Lois Ruston is the General Manager at R&M Homes, a Brandon company that has grown for more than a decade, building quality, custom homes for clients throughout Manitoba. In addition to R&M, Lois oversees MNK Mechanical Services and BDN Lux Kitchen & Design. Prior to joining the private sector in 2020, Lois spent the majority of her career in the not-for-profit realm, leading organizations that built community infrastructure, promoted tourism and provided settlement services to newcomers.
Lois has served on a number of Boards and committees throughout her career, including the Chamber Government Relations Committee, Rural Northern Immigrant Pilot, Brandon First and Travel Manitoba. In 2014 she was honoured as a recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction Award.
Lois values the integral role of the Chamber of Commerce in our community, region and province looks forward to bringing her passion for building our community’s businesses and organizations to the board table for a second term.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, kayaking and horseback riding. Lois is married with a teenaged daughter, and a Golden Retriever who seems to think she is the second child!
